Cherry Pie

INGRIEDENTS

  • 6-8 cups cherries (picked fresh from my cherry tree!) Pits removed.

  • 3/4 to 1 cup sugar

  • 5 tbsp sugar

  • 3 tbsp almond extract

  • pinch of salt

  • pie crust- fresh or frozen

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix cherries, sugar, cornstarch, extract, salt and cook in a pot for around 20 minutes until thick.

  2. Preheat oven to 425

  3. Roll out crust and place in pie pan. Add filling and cut out crust shapes or lattice.

  4. Bake pie for 20 minutes.

  5. Lower heat to 350 and bake until golden
